Her Journey With Real Estate
I grew up in a real estate family so I’ve been around it since my days at Westlake High School when my mom started working as a broker. I answered phones and did odd jobs at Moreland Properties when they got their start in the 80’s. I got my license in 1993 after college but worked in other fields for about 12 years before starting to help people buy and sell homes in 2003. I’ve been at it 15 years now.
Involvement Around Austin
My husband and I are working hard raising kids when we’re not working at our jobs so most of my volunteering happens at their schools in Eanes ISD.
Her Ideal Austin Weekend
I love to run the trails around Lady Bird Lake and have for many years. An ideal weekend day for me is an early morning run with my dog Tess, a cup of coffee at Jo’s Coffee on South Congress and then home to be with my family adventuring on a hike in the Barton Creek Greenbelt or a mountain bike ride at one of our nearby trails such as Reimer’s Ranch.
One Standout Listing
One listing I’ll never forget is my historic listing at 1108 West 9th Street in Clarksville. The house was built in 1898 – what a treasure in Austin! If those walls could talk, I’d love to hear the stories. It sits on a double lot and has such charm and sophistication. It had been totally remodeled by Fern Santini of Abode Interiors and was just fabulous. More than anything, we had a great team of professionals on every side of the transaction from agents to buyers, sellers, title company, etc… It was just a pleasure to work on.
What Makes a House a Home
My personal home backs up to a private section of the Barton Creek Greenbelt. We use it daily to walk, ride bikes, run the dog and catch fish with the kids. It is priceless to us and allows us to escape in nature in our otherwise busy lives.
